  WHAT HAPPENED?

  Pulisic has had a stellar maiden campaign with the Rossoneri, netting 19 goal contributions across Serie A action. As such, he's been named a finalist for alongside Inter's Hakan Calhanoglu and Atalanta's Teun Koopmeiners.

• THE BIGGER PICTURE

  Calhanoglu scored 13 goals for the Serie A title winners, while Koopmeiners found the back of the net 12 times for fifth-place Atalanta. The duo had fantastic campaigns themselves, meaning Pulisic is in both good company and among strong competition.

  Despite primarily playing on the wing in the attack, the U.S. international has been included in candidacy for the award, and he's now close to ending his debut campaign with a prize of his own.
