Liverpool boss Arne Slot says he is unphased by Jurgen Klopp's dreaded Saturday 12:30pm kick-offs following a European tie.

  WHAT HAPPENED?

  Once again Liverpool are scheduled to play in the dreaded early slot on Saturday when they travel to Crystal Palace in the Premier League. Slot's predecessor Klopp went on several rants criticising the competition's scheduling for teams in Europe. However, the Dutchman is unphased by what time the game is and admits his team train at around midday every day anyway.

  WHAT SLOT SAID

  Speaking in his press conference on Friday, Slot said: "I think the league I come from, they are more aware and try to help teams in Europe. But to be fair to English FA our schedule is tight so it is difficult. It has a lot to do with TV stations, it feels like I do an interview every day. I think they can pick a team for 12:30pm, so they choose Liverpool. People talk about 12:30pm, we talk about difficult away games. If 12:30pm was a difficult time to perform then I am a stupid manager because I train every day at midday!"

• THE BIGGER PICTURE

  It feels like Liverpool could play at any time or place at the moment and still win. They have only lost once so far under Slot, at home to Nottingham Forest. They put on a clinical performance against Bologna in the Champions League on Wednesday and are sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League table.
